The 2019 MLM program was launched on Monday the 19th of August with a Masterclass in Global Issues delivered by the HSIE staff. This gave the girls a launch pad for them to start thinking about a Global Issue they were passionate about.

The following Wednesday began the two week Guided Inquiry intensive named Making Learning Meaningful with a focus on Global Issues. The students worked in groups of 4 – 5 to research, plan and produce an awareness campaign that consisted of a film, website and speech based on a Global Issue. The issues included poverty, human trafficking, refugees, impact of technology on humanity, water crisis, gender equality and child labour.
