Amazing news from our Robotics Team:

This term, 2 students from BGHS, Fatema and Winnie entered the Robotics World final competition - while being in Sydney's Lockdown.

In their division, the Idea Contest, students were to design and create a robot to stop the spread of COVID-19. There were 76 world finalist teams In the Idea Contest Division and Winnie and Fatema were one of three teams representing Australia.

Our students demonstrated outstanding achievements throughout their journey through the competition. Their robot invention idea was very innovative and fulfilled the design requirements - this robot will stop the spread of COVID-19! The robot's name is Nabi (butterfly in Korean).

These two girls from BGHS qualified for the World Final as they were the Australian National champion for 2020.

Yesterday, Mrs Bilali, our Principal, was informed that our BGHS Robotics Team has won third place in the global competition! An outstanding result!

Congratulations Fatema and Winnie for this incredible achievement, and also Ms Doai for her leadership in the Robotics program.
