One major cause of pollution is the littering of plastic bags. If we all worked together and started using 100% recyclable green bags we would be saving many parts of the environment. Wouldn't you feel good about yourself knowing that you can help save the environment? Well you could be helping if you stop using plastic bags and start using recyclable green bags.
One reason why I believe that we should use green bags instead of plastic bags is the pollution. People who use plastic bags often litter them around the environment and cannot be bothered to dispose of them properly. This can result in the environment being very dirty, messy and unsafe. If you can't be bothered to dispose plastic bags the right way, then you should save yourself trouble and start using environmentally friendly green bags, which are also reusable. It has been proven that 95% of people in the community either litter plastic bags in the environment or do not dispose of them the right way. Our planet is becoming much more polluted because of plastic bags.
Furthermore, animals are being harmed because careless people are throwing plastic bags in the ocean or really, anywhere else. If plastic bags are thrown into the ocean they can harm many animals such as the turtle. If a turtle is swimming in the ocean and get caught in a plastic bag or swallow it, they could suffocate, choke to death or be contaminated by it. How would you feel if that happened to you because of lazy people littering plastic bags? This is why green bags should be used instead of plastic bags.
Moreover, green bags should be used instead of plastic bags because plastic bags are not recyclable. It takes many years for a plastic bag to decompose. This is also very bad for our environment. How would you feel if you knew you were ruining the environment and could stop it, but you were just too lazy to do the right thing? You could stop this if you just switched to using 100% recyclable green bags.
To finish, plastic bags are extremely bad for our environment and can damage it in many different ways. Why should you keep using plastic bags when there is an environmentally friendly green bag that is waiting to be used? You really should use green bags instead of plastic bags.
