During Term 2 they have been looking at multicultural foods that have influenced the foods we in Australia today. They have investigated traditional Australian foods, such as native herbs and spices as well as meats, fruits and vegetables. The class have also delved into the Italian and Mexican influences on Australian cuisine. The girls have produced some fantastic dishes including wattleseed and macadamia muffins, garlic pizza and meat pies. The class will begin investigating a culture of their own choice in Term 3 and using their knowledge of native Australian foods to create a dish that reflects contemporary Australian cuisine.
